Conflictus aims to help individuals, social groups and organisations develop effective conflict resolution strategies by enabling them to better understand and assess their needs.

Our team of experts specialise in conflict analysis, conflict mapping, developing social cohesion programmes, developing conflict sensitive approaches, creating training kits and tools, and improving programmes and projects to meet individual needs.

All our work in this area is designed to help individuals, community groups, teams and organisations build and maintain effective relationships while managing the complexity of the conflicts they face.

Designing Social Cohesion Training of Trainers (ToT) Modules and Implementation Program under Nexus Program - GIZ (2020 - 2022)

The project aims capacity building to the staff and volunteers in skills defined as key for promoting social cohesion youth centres in selected areas. The objective of the service sought is to develop two separated training programs (ToT) and implementation of trainings, first program for youth leaders & volunteer from 4 province ( Gaziantep ,Kahramanmaraş , Ankara and Bursa)

The primary goal of the project led by Conflictus was to foster social cohesion and to empower leadership skills among young people in Turkey, with the support of GIZ Turkey and in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sport. To achieve this, Conflictus developed and implemented 15 training-of-trainer (ToT) programs for youth leaders and volunteers in four provinces: Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Ankara, and Bursa. 

The program targeted young individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 who were interested in promoting social cohesion in their communities, and emphasized critical skills that are essential for building peace and promoting social harmony.

Conflict Resolution and Social Mediation Training Programme with University Students from Different Cultures - Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities - (Supported by UNHCR) - May 2022 - October 2023

This project mainly aims to improve the social cohesion skills of university students coming from different cultures in different cities (Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Mersin, İstanbul, Samsun, Kayseri). For this purpose, conflict resolution and social mediation training content including important topics such as conflict analysis, conflict resolution strategies, transformative mediation, coping with discrimination and solution-oriented communication was prepared and implemented.

 

Target Group: University students (362 foreigners and 529 Turks) from Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Mersin, İstanbul, Samsun, Kayseri.

İstanbul'da Suriyeli ve Türk Kadınlar Arasında Kültürel Değişim Atölyelerinin Tasarlanması ve Uygulanması IKGV - 2018-2020

This program, within the scope of the women's support group program organized at the Esenler Multi-Service Suppor Center. The program is a training program carried out with the aim of ensuring cultural exchange between Syrian women living in Esenler and women from the host community, increasing the dialogue between them and thus contributing to social cohesion and conflict sensitivity. During the process creative drama methods were used in order to provide cultural exchange among the participants.

Target Group: Syrian and Turkish women living in Esenler district of Istanbul

Habitat Derneği ile Suriyeli ve Ev Sahibi Topluluklarına Yönelik Sosyal Diyalog için Genç Arabulucular Eğitim Programı -Ekim 2017 - Ocak 2018

The aim of the program is to empower young Syrian and Turkish young people who have been active in social cohesion, youth participation and networking areas within the National Youth Parliament network. Selected participants will be firstly trained on conflict resolution with a specific focus on youth-led mediation and secondly will be supported in facilitating local mediation and awareness raising processes in their own communities by using peaceful intervention methods. During this program these actions were delivered: Designed and conduct the Training of Trainers program for 25 participants from 11 different cities in Turkey and 264 young people were reached out through local trainings by young mediators.

Target group: Young people, young staff of local organizations and university students between 15-29 years old from Syrian and host communities living in Adana, Aksaray, Ankara, Bursa, Gaziantep, Hatay, İstanbul, İzmir, Mardin, Mersin and Şanlıurfa.
